tried this and its still not working.
it appears the problem is the same with my windows media player classic.

on closer inspection the file is playing, but it is so dark that it can hardly be seen.

I have not installed anything or changed any settings to cause this problem

Logged my computer on today and for some reason VLC has stopped working. When I try to play a file I get the sound, but no visual, although occasionally I get a red flash across the screen. I tired re-booting my com and that had no effect. I tried re-installing vlc and that had no effect. I have not...
