Well, you could use the controls in framebuffer, but you'd need Qt4 built with framebuffer support instead of X11.
is that possible?

Normal controls are only available in X11. I've found out that ncurses interface does the trick, I run it like so vlc -I ncurses <file-to-play> and it works just fine. But it doesn't handle stuff like switching subtitles, audio and so on, so I switched from framebuffer to X - dwm and I run vlc as u...

Hi, I want to start using vlc in framebuffer mode, but there's a problem. I don't know how to enable controls (play, pause, stop, next, etc...). I am already using these shortcuts in ordinary vlc interface and they work just fine. infortunately it does not for my framebuffer. PS: i am using Arch Lin...
