Is it possible to stream tuner output (i.e. live tv) to mms (Windows Media Player) or http?. I have functioning VLC server on Xubuntu and can receive tuner stream with VLC. I'm just looking for a way to stream the tuner to Windows clients either with mms or http without having to install VLC.

How would I tune vlc to send a low bandwidth UDP stream? For example I am not really concerned about image quality, just want something reasonable and understandable audio. I have tried using vb=128,ab=128,vt=128,keyint=20 but not sure what vt and keyint mean. I thought this would limit my rate to 1...
