ok..so ive figured out how to use the vu meter, but it doesnt work. Im trying to stream(file based stream) from one PC to another. I get the vu meter and it shows a red alarm as if it isnt picking up the audio. However, you can hear it. Any ideas? Using: vlc -I oldrc --video-x 0 --video-y 0 --width ...

Looking to get some help with overlaying audio bars to an in coming IP stream(s). I have seen examples in the dev section, but thats way over my head. Does anyone able to dumb this down for me with a tutorial or guide. Any kind of help is greatly appreciated.
