I hope you guys realize how unhelpful you are. I finally hacked it out. Add the following to your shortcut target: --video-filter=adjust This enables the filter. Now add (for example): --contrast=1 --brightness=1 --hue=180 --saturation=2 --gamma=1 The numbers are floating-point decimal numbers, e.g....

Okay, maybe that explains why WMP takes so long to start the files--buffering. Does VLC buffer and can it be controlled?

VLC also hangs on these files.
