I am traying to play a stream with vlc in grayscale like this
vlc --grayscale rtsp://localhost:1234/bar
however the colors information is always coded. the video is never in grayscale !!!
I realy need to active the grayscale option so any information that can help is welcome

I use an rtsp proxy between a vlc client and vlc server in streaming. Do anybody know a command line to configure VLC client in order to make him pass throw the proxy while sending the request?

Actually the problem is that my client is Androïd so the client request is a Java program. Do you have any idea on how to send a transcoding request with Java please?

I have been trying to use vlc as a server in order to stream videos. my client is a java program so I was wondering if I can send an rtsp request using rtsp socket to vlc in order to set the video parameters. if so, how to de that?
