Hello all. I need to convert/save a video (with protocol mmsh://) from a website. After loading it into my vlc player I cannot save that in a .wmv (or such other format) file. I opened this path: media>convert/save..>network to put video mms url, then I pushed on "convert/save" button, cho...

Ok, but if the file is correctly played with another player (in this case with wmplayer), doesn't it mean that the file is not broken?

Why can't VLC run that file without remuxing? If I have the necessity to use mencoder or other similar programs in addition to VLC to open some .mpg files, that's the same thing of using windows_media_player classic for that kind of file, but I'd like to use a single complete video player for all.

Have you tried to remux the MPG file?

I cannot play a .mpg media file althogh I installed a K-lite Basic codec pack. The same file is correctly played with windows media player classic application. How to do to make it work with vlc too?
