How come it works with windows media player?

This is an educational dvd (Files of dvd played from harddrive) that someone gave me.
Its just odd to me that is plays in WMP correctly and not VLC. But I like VLC so much better than WMP.

Not sure if you were talking to me, but I deleted the folder and had no luck. Same problem Thanks for the suggestion tho

I have noticed on mine, (DVD on harddrive) it just "plays" the menu at warp speed and then closes up like the movie is over.

I have the same problem, except mine is not fixed when I open it as a disc or folder. It plays the menu for like .001 seconds and then closes back up to the default vlc size. Any suggesions?
