I agree, it shouldn't. However it was not displaying theater mode with h.264 encoding. Don't know what to tell you. The older version works just fine.

Apparently the old version I had was 1.0.1. I downgraded to that and it is working again. I tried 1.0.3 however that did not work as well. Perhaps this should be looked in to?

I have an AMD Opteron 165 dual core processor, and an ATI Radeon x1800GTO video card with 256mb of ram.

I am currently using WXP Pro 32bit. I have used VLC for years now and never had a problem with theater mode.
