Can I connect a Bluetooth keyboard to an Android tablet or phone and control VLC with keyboard shortcuts like I do on my PC? The last reference I can find to Android keyboard shortcuts is this thread from 2 years ago. Were they ever implemented?

I just noticed that VLC has been keeping a history of all the videos I watch, even though I disabled the option in preferences. How do I prevent it from doing this? Where is this information saved? Here's an image of what I'm talking about:
