Ohh. I see. That explains a lot. So basically it comes to the point that for my purposes the old skins are rather useless. Thats quite sad.

But how come that it has worked for me before? Back then only the player controls were skinned, the video output was a regular window that said VLC (Direct3D output) - basically the same like in native mode.

Actually, I have the problem with every skin. Some skins dont show a video output at all, with others it looks like this:


Under Preferences -> all > Video Enable video is checked, embedded video is not checked.

I've upgraded VLC on a fresh system to a newer version and for some odd reason I have problems with the video output. I'd like the video to be shown in an extra window, not integrated in the interface. When I use a skin, the only thing I get is either full screen output or a tiny window (almost thum...
