I am partial to Winamp (classic skin) as I have used it since the late '90s and because of its tiny footprint on the screen. However, VLC sounds best no contest, and that clinches it for me.
Is there a Winamp-Classic-looking skin for the current VLC, 2.0.6 Twoflower?

I suppose what I want is for the curve A to B in the picture to have a steeper inclination,
something like A to C, if you get my drift.

I simply wonder how I increase gain/volume. The span between silence and full blast is very small by default.

I wonder if the Winamp 5 skin has *Always-on-top* and *Shuffle/normal* options? If so, I haven't found them - they would make the skin perfect imho.
