Thanks for the reply. I tried your example but the error message tells me "nothing to play". I tried modifying to see if I could get it to stream but no luck. Eventually I was able to get it to grab the output of my web cam and play it in a VLC window but that was about it. It's confusing....

I was wondering what people thought was the best capture card for ntcs/pal input and security camera input. I have one which only seams to work with xaw player. Since I would like view streaming input in my browser VLC would be prefect.
