Re: Lot of window properties not working

Just tested version 2.0.5

The aspect ratio problem has been fixed! :)

but unfortunately VLC still does not remember the last used size. :(

Is there any chance that this will be fixed some day?

crashes with VLC 2.0.4

I use this line:

Code: Select all

--sout '#transcode{vcodec=h264,vb=192,acodec=mp4a,ab=32,channels=2}:standard{mux=ts,dst=:8181,access=http}' --sout-transcode-width=320 --sout-all
it works perfectly with VLC 2.0.3 but VLC 2.0.4 crashes.

Any ideas?

Re: Lot of window properties not working

I just tested version 2.0.4 --video-deco --no-video-deco --embedded-video --no-embedded-video This works now! :) VLC now remembers the last used position :) but unfortunately VLC still does not remember the last used size. :( And there is a new issue with 2.0.4, if I set the deinterlace mode to 'dis...

Re: Aspect ratio problem with 2.0.4

I've got the same problem here.
It might related to the deinterlace mode.
If it's set to "discard" or to "mean" the aspect ratio is wrong. On any other modes it looks ok.

Re: Lot of window properties not working

I checked again:

--video-deco
--no-video-deco

--embedded-video
--no-embedded-video

This commands does not work on OS X 10.8 with VLC 2.0.3

Also, VLC does not remember the last position and size, if the video is not within the main window.

Is there any chance for a fix?

Re: Lot of window properties not working

Thanks for the quick answer. Unfortunately I can not help :( (I wish I could!) I checked video-deco on 2.0.3 and it seems not to work on OS X. If I can't set width, height and position. It would be nice if VLC would remember the last used size and position! It works if VLC is playing the Video withi...

Re: Can't kill a VLC 2.0 process!

You could always try: kill -9 <PID> .
Thanks for this advice.
It does work with this command. :)
Could you open a ticket for this? It may suggest some threads not finishing.
How can I do this? (Sorry, I never did it before...)

VLC v1.1.10 doesn't play .ts files anymore

The newest version of VLC (1.1.10) refuses to play MPEG2 files inside a Transport-Stream container. (TS) It shows only a black screen without sound. When I try to stream .ts files over a network VLC crashes. Same problem with h264 files inside inside a TS-container. I had no problems with older vers...
