I have same issue, I set VLC to start playing two streams on windows startup, but I have to click play, not good.

OK, turns out the WMV I was transcoding was 6 channel audio. It would not transcode down to 2 channels of MPEG audio. Picked 6 channel A52 encoding and it works OK, but if STB won't play it I need to then transocde the audio specifically down to 2 channel, will see if it works later. Thanks to anyon...

Hi, I'm streaming a HD WMV file at 720p on XP out to a G5 iMac. I'm transcoding the WMV to mp4v TS at 4096 kbs. The video is *almost* smooth but not smooth enough! The CPU on the XP streamer (3200 Athlon) is at 100%, so I suspect the transcoding is very intensive. Anyone done something similar? Can ...
