ok i found the solution for me anyway instead of changing vlc change msn to work with it go here on your hard drive C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger and then change the application msnmsgr to msn and enable now playing in vlc and it works, good luck works perfectly !! thnx, i've been looking...
