I am running Ubuntu 10.10 and VLC 1.1.8.

Problem. On the web page I am getting missing plug-in but about:plugins shows that the VLC plugin is enabled.

Question. Does the VLC mozilla plugin work with the Chrome/Chromium browser?

I can't get a playlist to run in a browser when running VLC 1.0.6 Goldeneye and mozilla-plugin-vlc. Playlist works fine when playing directly in VLC media player. The Playlist will run successfully in a browser when I remove VLC 1.0.6 and downgrade to VLC 9.9.9a. Problem seems to be in VLC Goldeneye...

I am trying to configure a Compro Video Mate C200 Plus USB Video/Audio Capture Stick so I can play the content with VLC running on Ubuntu. Can anyone advise how to go about this? I have been successful with a PCI Compro capture card but are struggling with the USB capture stick.

I encountered this problem (waiting for video) when trying to play an xspf playlist in a web page. As a work around I downgraded VLC to 0.9.9.a and it worked fine.

Is there a fix with the more recent versions of VLC?
