OK, I really did look for similar posts but the second I posted this I found one that was similar from Cromartie888 back in Feb - http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=55544#p183515.. And his code snippet works. Don't know why yet but clearly the problem is down to me. 10,000 apologies...
