I always have the problem using any MKV file. This "birds" file was juste an example, but every MKV lags (VC1 or h264).
Thanks to keep me in touch if you find any solution.
So I can't use VLC for this moment (only MPC-HC and XBMC).

It is used. But for some reason there are some stalls. Did you try with VLC 1.1.4?

And also tried with differents NVIDIA drivers (260.99, 258.96, 190.xx, ...) but same result ... Currently in 260.99, the latest certifed.
