he means that you can "bypass" windows media encoder all together, and have your clients(WMP - windows media player) connect to VLC's stream directly. there are situations in which you dont want to do this however. it would be nice to get vlc "push" streaming to windows media enc...

same here also.. i guess we need to determine how windows media encoder "pushes" content to windows media services. I'm assuming its probably a RTP/UDP stream; can anyone load the encoder up and do a "netstat -an" to see what port it sends on? if it's not using some kind of propr...
