That cannot be the problem, DVBViewer uses the same freedb database & gets tracklisting every time I have tried, VLC gets it hardly ever.Very weird... It just means that it didn't find a match

Any reason why? This was always the case in VLC.
Could be Tools-Preferences-Interface-Album art download policy? Not sure though, you may need to reinstall.Where can I find "Allow fetching media information from internet" without reinstalling? I hope VLC fix this bug soon anyway.
So can you explain why the debug version works but the exe does not?Autoplay just passes some parameters to VLC. So if(where X is the drive letter of CD drive) works, then it is OK.Code: Select all
vlc.exe --started-from-file cdda://X:
I think this is rather unreasonable to ask people to upload 500MB+, the point is it happens on ALL CDs.Can you share an .iso of this CD?
What's gdb ?Can you run it through gdb?
Codec packs can't affect VLC as it is not a Directshow player.v 1.1.3 the problem s still there. For testing purposes i did a clean sweep of my system, removing all previous codec /pack installations I could, to no avail.
