I wouldn't suggest to you downgrading to an earlier version of VLC, because there were quite some issues in the skins module in versions past.

Because VLC changed its video system in skins in such a way that it is not displayed when there is no video window in the skin. So I'd need to update my skin and add a video window. Than it'll work again. Might do that some time soon. oh, ok. can you please tell me with which previous version of VL...

i like very much this skin and i want to use it, but ehwn i play videos i can't see anything. Why i'm unable to open a windows for videos ?
I'm using last version of VLC under Windows XP sp2
