I think the AB repeat stuttering problem with wmv and mpg probably has to do with files that do have indexes. I've noticed that in other programs like GOM player the repeat works for wmv and mpg, so could it be that VLC does not know the time and therefore stutters between frame N and N+1 as opposed...
