Re: Tried convert and join 2 VOB to MP4 - no luck

I still don't understand what path to specify. I put the 2 mp4 files in the path "This PC > Videos > Video Formats for Testing > Merge Videos VLC". I went to the files folder and ran Command Prompt and typed exactly what the tutorial said (above). I read another tutorial and it said this t...

Converting mp4 file size/resolution

I tried to follow this tutorial to change a 1920x1080 to 1280x720. It says "In the Video codec tab, choose Encoding parameters. Adjust the codec, bitrate, quality, frame rate, and click Save." Under the "Video Codec" tab the only options for changing the "Resolution" ar...

Tried convert and join 2 VOB to MP4 - no luck

I followed 3-4 video tutorials how to do this. I loaded both VOB files and hit "Convert/Save" and it converted each file to MP4. Then ran Command Prompt from the files Saved Folder and typed "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" Vts 01.mp4 Vts 01 1.mp4 --sout "gather:std{a...

Re: Trouble playing HEVC files (and some mkv, mp4 files) in VLC 3.0.14

Someone in another forum told me that my CPU or GPU might not be strong enough to play the files. My CPU is an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10600K CPU @ 4.10GHz 4.10 GHz. I don't think it's my CPU and I'm using Windows 10.

Trouble playing HEVC files (and some mkv, mp4 files) in VLC 3.0.14

I've used this VLC version for many years and I love it. But I have trouble playing HEVC (H.265) files. They hesitate and stop when I play them. I googled how to troubleshoot this at (https://www.free-codecs.com/guides/playing_hevc_files_on_vlc_media_player__easy_setup_and_playback.htm). I tried all...

wmv and VLC

All my wmv files are broken for a few seconds when played in VLC. Do you have to add something to the command line to improve playback? Not familiar with how to do that.

The slider bar, ticker, whatever you want to call it. Use your imagination. The needle that ticks the time off.

Player stops

When I move the ticker the player stops at least 80% of the time. I play AVI, VOB and MPG and it happens to all of them. I've used VLC (current version) for over a year and have never figured it out. These are some messages I had: cture to display 01168018 has invalid status 6 main error: picture 01...

Crashes when using slider

No matter what type (mpeg, avi, vob) of video I use when I move the slider it stops playing and crashes. Been using it for 8 mths and has never worked right. And how can you configure the tick for the slider? (say I want it to move in 30 second intervals). Using XP2, plenty of RAM, AthlonXP 2.1 MHz ...
