Didn't help me yet. Tried changing it to Vista mode... also no help. So far the problem persists. The box for "Disable display scaling on high DPI setting" was unchecked. I checked it. Saved. Restart. No change.

Didn't work. Problem is back. Changed the player to OpenGL due to the Win 7 mistake. Could that have anything to do with it?

Hi, Since I got Windows 7 the transparent menu, that VLC usually only displays when it is on fullscreen is now also appearing at the bottom of the screen when VLC is in window mode.
