I fix it. Just reinstall ffmpeg After update from Ubuntu 9.04 to Ubuntu 9.10, codecs have been deleted. Just reinstall with Synaptic

I have same problem....
No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video format "XVID". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.
Pls help!
