Does the Dinovo have a preference panel where you can set where the volume command is sent? As a workaround, you can set the VLC volume control to take really small steps, which should solve at least the problem of the volume changing too rapidly: in preferences > Audio, change the Audio Output Vol...
I'm not sure exactly how it sends the volume order, though I don't think it is a keystroke. The keyboard is a Logitech Dinovo and it has a dedicated touch response volume bar (swipe up = volume up swipe down = volume down).
Like it says, I want to LOCK the volume at some fixed amount in VLC (say 150%) and have it NOT be able to move EVER. I have a remote with a iMON setup that I use to operate my HTPC and the volume is thus changed through the master system volume. The issue arises when I'm watching movies/working on s...
Well that didn't do it, but I finally did indeed get it to work. It looks like the "Embedded Video" option under Video (advanced features) was messing it up. As a last ditch I just started turning everything on/off to see what happened. Hit that one and everything is working fine. Thanks f...
update: Still can't get the video to work "right" however I can get "video" if I force DirectX3D and enable desktop mode (under output modules). This isn't ideal in the least but at least it's a start I guess. I can also get video if I used 'Stats Video Output Function" but ...

After further playing around, I can run directx and getting the dienterlacing I need, however I only get video on one monitor. To explain, The video card has 2 DVI outputs which I'm converting to HDMI and th...
I have been using VLC on my vista 32bit computer for quite a while and have always used DirectX for the video output since this is the only way I can get good deinterlacing. I recently (just this weekend) upgraded to an ATI HD5770 video card. Now when I try to play a movie with DirectX selected, I d...
On movie playback, I'm getting some "skipping" for no apparent reason. As the movie plays along (within one "track"), it hits a point and "skips" ahead (about 15 seconds). I can't seem to figure out why though. Initially I thought it was skipping over a "track chan...
I went through a rebuild on my computer and tonight installed version 1.0.2 Goldeneye. Now when I open a movie, the on-screen "interface" in the movie menu is not working. Thus I can't "play" the movie (have to wait till the menu times out and auto starts the movie). What's missi...
