Does the activeX work on Pocket PC? If not, can it be cross compiled?

Can someone tell me if the web interface for the Pocket PC will support MPEG4 video / audio via RTSP. I have and Axis Server product that is capable of streaming MPEG4 but can't find anything that will play the stream on a Pocket PC. Dan

I am not sure that you can compile this under cygwin. I was going to try the same but could find no instructions that implied you could. I have ended up setting up a linux box but still can not get it built.

Cant get UDP streaming of video to work on a Win CE device . What libs provide this support. Are there specific flags that can enable or disable this? Does --disable-sout on the receiving device affect it? Monitoring the device shows that an attempt is made for communications but no video is display...

Can not stream to VLC Win CE build. I build using all the instructions, all comes up but will not receive streamed video of any type. This has got to be the most frustrating thing I have ever come across. Open source my butt.

VLC does WMV1 and WMV2. They both work as far as I can tell. Ive used this to stream to a PPC device

Check out the install.win32 file in the svn tree. Follow its directions exactly. I have not been able to get this to compile on XP but have on win2k and win98. Good luck

Sorry, the IRC chat guys put me on the right path. Turns out that the snapshots that I downloaded do not have the file INSTALL.winCE which describes the build process. The vlc-trunk from the svn server does.

Try a little more work and use the wizards to try to open a file. Read, Read, Read. It is not extremely easy to use but is very powerful IMHO!

You can't downgrade to 3.3.1 but as pointed out in other posts, you can downgrade easily to 3.3.3 which does work. You may have a lot of questions coming up. The tar.tar issue is that any file downloaded with Windows XP that ends in .tar.bz2 will automatically end up being created on the XP box as .tar.tar.
