I use VLC on my htpc and was wondering if its possible for VLC to watch a folder for videos and display those videos in the play list. This way i wont have to browse to the media files, just open VLC then open the play list.
I've downloaded 0.8.5 and can now play embedded wmv videos which is great, however when i try to play quicktime trailers nothing happens. Does anyone have any suggestions how i can fix this, also when playing wmv there is no controls on the videos, is there suppose to be?
You say it works for most people and there is conflicts between different versions of VLC and Firefox, if this is the case what versions do work together?
Why do the developers include a Mozilla plugin where i can find no evidence that it actually works? There are posts dotted all over the Ubuntu forums concerning this issue and no fix.
