Thanks again for the reply and help. I think that solved my issues, but without hardware acceleration there's a lot of screen tearing, but that's not VLCs problem .
Did you try to reset VLC's preferences and use crop? Thanks for the reply. Tried reseting the preferences, restarting the player (and my PC for that matter) and all the crop options with the same result.
