My problem does not actually relate to VLC, which is an excellent programme. I play all my AVI files thru' VLC. Would anyone know if there a programme out there that will change the music key of my 'karaoke' songs (words and music) ? I have converted my Karaoke songs to AVI format and they are burnt...

I am using VLC 1.0.1 GOLDENEYE

I assumed that is the one I downloaded. If I check for updates it tells me I have the latest version (without giving me the product number). I also have Vista and it originally said it is compatible with Vista. All these forum people (plus me) must "do your head in!"

I did as you requested. I have tried three times to open it from my ext. hard drive but the same thing happens, the menu screen of my songs comes uup but disappears from the screen when I press play or click in the song of choice..... I have checked the message log to see what it says but it is empt...
