I am palying an AVI file with subtitle but the subtitle won't show up. I am using Mac Mini with Mac OS 10.4. Is there a setting/configuration that I should know about?

I am running VLC 8.2 test 2 with ATI Radeon that has 32 Meg RAM. How/where can i get VLC 8.4?

Actaully by setting VLC to Core Auio, SPDIF works fine and I am now using my mAudio device with optincal output (SPDIF active) working fine. Please see previous comment/advice.
