Re: H264 Videos Cut Before End

It seems as of now nobody is working for this to be fixed, so if you want this to be the case someday please keep this topic alive.

Farewell,

Re: H264 Videos Cut Before End

It is interesting that this bug has survived that long without even being mentioned in the first place.

Re: H264 Videos Cut Before End

It's barely noticeable in the linked-to video, because there already is a fade-out. But on any other H.264 video where there is no fade-out at the end, at least on my system it clearly cuts in advance. If you happen to step by and too suffer from this issue, please register and post here so we can k...

Re: H264 Videos Cut Before End

This might not be the best example, but the first trailer from this page did it on me: http://www.h264info.com/clips.html

Re: H264 Videos Cut Before End

Hmmm. Not really, because they're all too big and I don't have access to my video camera, but basically every DV-AVI type video imported from that camera into Premiere, edited, and exported to H.264 to hard disk drive presents this issue when played back with VLC. But probably that this issue can be...

H264 Videos Cut Before End

I've encoded some videos to H264 using Premiere CS4, but upon playing them with VLC it cuts a second or two before the end. It always cut a random number of time right before the end, mostly around one second of time. I've tested with K-lite, and there is no problem. Anyone else experiencing the sam...

Re: can't download update 1.0.1

Nice! So this bug will probably be fixed.

N.B.: for your information, the bug seems to be absent from v0.9.9, but present in v1.0.0.

Re: Update problem in v1.0.0 & v1.0.1

The point is the internal update feature of VLC is broken for some.

Re: Update problem in v1.0.0 & v1.0.1

Hello and thanks for the reply, as I was becoming a little worried! :) When I press "check for updates," it prompts me for the location of the download. Then, it says: "Failed to open 'download location' for writing," where "download location" is for example C:\Document...

read viewtopic.php?f=2&t=63315

Could developers take a look into this?
Am I the only one experimenting this issue?

thanks,

Re: can't download update 1.0.1

It would be nice to know how this issue arose, whatever the conflict is (assuming it does not happen on every system).

Re: can't download update 1.0.1

Hello all.

Same thing happens to me. Cannot possibly update here, even with Firefox closed. Had to workaround downloading the update via Firefox in order to successfully update without the error message displaying. It is as though my hard drive is write protected to VLC! Strange, isn't it?
