I can't access that issue ("Trac is down for maintenance") but I have tested the above-mentioned files with version 1.0.2 and I can confirm the issue remains.

I get the same error with VLC 1.0.1. There is no video stream in the output file, regardless of the conversion profile I use (I've tried all the built-in ones and tried creating my own).
