I did, but when I goto the preferences with CTRL+S, there is no place to select a skin..

When I play a DVD I dont get any sound. Im using ALSA to output.
Other music files are OK.

How do I use skins? I downloaded one, and unziped it, then loaded vlc:
vlc -I skins2

There was no change in the interface whatsover. Any ideas?
