Ok then, thanks much. I guess I shouldn't hold my breath waiting for a fix, but these .rmvb files are a tiny minority of what I watch anyway, so I can live with using RealPlayer just for them. VLC_help said WINDOWS Explorer not INTERNET Explorer - he is talking about the tool you use to peruse your computer's file system NOT your Internet browser. Hope this helps.
