It would be nice if VLC took advantage of Windows WASAPI so it can be used for bitperfect Audiophile listening.

No reboot does not help....I rebooted several times. 1)Checked the audio properties on the Mac. 2)Tested iTunes to make sure I could get sound. 3)Copied the app to my applications folder....no sound. 4)Copied everything in the .zip to my applications folder including the desktop image of the program...

Maybe this is more of a question but is VLC supposed to keep items in the Playlist and/or Library between closings? For example I loaded the songs from my HD into VLC, they all show up fine but when I close it and re-open its all gone....is this supposed to happen? Yes, the HD is still connected, ye...

VLC ran fine then all of a sudden...no sound, from either the internal Mac speakers or the USB digital out.

I removed and downloaded a new one and still no sound?

I am in the same boat.

Suddenly I have no sound what so ever in my Mac using VLC.

I removed and installed a new one but same results....it played perfectly even after I updated the system, but now nothing.
