Although many YouTube videos are available in a High Definition format, VLC seems to record them in low definition. Is there a way to record the higher quality?
I've tried using Avidemux, but I find it doesn't allow one to make DivX or Xvid files, which is what I've been doing. What is a good alternative format for files that aren't too big and will play on machines that play AVI files?
Thanks for the suggestion, but it seems to me that rather than learn a whole new editing program, and try to find filters for it, it might be simpler to learn a conversion program and stick with the editor I know. Anyone know a way to convert the files to be usable in VirtualDub?
