VLC (Sadly) does not support this

Hello I dont know if this should be in Feature Requests or something I download files with the extension .001 .002 exc.. Now I know that there hjsplit files.. and That I need to join them But the weird thing is that I can open file number .001 with vlc , But I can not open file .002 with vlc, I know...

Soo there is no way to get a indication of "time for completion"?

When I chose the Streaming option so to convert a file . How do i know when the file is done? When the convertion is finished? Because I see that the seconds on the vlc run the same, But the file is (I think) ready alot sonner? does not?

I did not understod the solution??
I also have this problem... what to do?? how do i choose the good audio track?
