Re: Some movies "VLC could not read the file (Bad file descriptor)"

Oh, I don't know how pertinent this is, but I also tried 3 apps that are supposed to fix corrupted or bad video files. None of the apps did so. I assume this is a problem with video files solely, since other file types in the same folders have not developed a problem. I'm not a computer expert, so t...

Re: Some movies "VLC could not read the file (Bad file descriptor)"

i have a question do you have an mobile phone? Yes I have a cell phone that's on airplane mode 95% of the time (no data in or out). Why do you ask? Can you shed some light on the situation if we talk on the phone? Speaking of phones, I am very impressed with the durability of Samsung phones. During...

Re: Do HEVC x265 files require a fast computer

VLC is not too slow, but your computer probably is. x265 is recent. A 9 year old graphics card is not. x265 files play perfectly on my computer, but if I try to fast forward (seek) the screen is a jumbled mess. This doesn't happen on x264 files. Some I haven't used in a couple years. Now when I try to play some of these in VLC (and less popular players) I get t...

Re: Can't keep aspect ratio between songs

thannoy, thanks very much for responding. I couldn't find "force aspect-ratio" so I assume you mean "source aspect ratio". I put 16:9 in that text box and it seems to do the trick.

thanks again.

Can't keep aspect ratio between songs

Greetings. This is my first post, and I’d like to start off by thanking you for a wonderful bit of software. I am a bit frustrated though, and perhaps somebody can help me get something figured out. Please forgive me if this is something that’s obvious, but I’ve spent a lot of time on this, includin...
