Re: HELP! Audio output is starving, playing silence

The same for me, but you gave me the idea of changing from "default video output" to "OpenGL" and that's resolved my "playing silence" problem!

Thank you!!!

cooper2k9,
you did a great analysis.
I hope the VLC developers can fix the bug soon.

Re: HELP! Audio output is starving, playing silence

Changing video output module doesn't matter whatsoever!
Today I upgraded to version 1.0.1, and the problem remains!

HELP! Audio output is starving, playing silence

Like other users, I'm having audio problems with VLC 1.0.0 on my PC: Intel i7 920, Asus P6T SE, 6 GB ram, Sound Blaster X-Fi, Windows XP 32 Service Pack 3. The PC is running perfectly and I only have audio issues with VLC playing video files: .avi, .mpg, .flv, etc. If I just play audio files with VL...

Re: From 0.9.9 to 1.0.0 rc4 - sound problem

I turned off "high quality audio resampling" and it's ok now.
This is strange though, because on my previous machine (Core 2 duo E6400, 2 GB ram but same audio card X-fi) it was turned on and it worked ok.

Thank you anyway for the nice support!

Re: From 0.9.9 to 1.0.0 rc4 - sound problem

I got something thru the message window: main warning: computed PTS is out of range (32063), clearing out main warning: timing screwed, stopping resampling main warning: PTS is out of range (-3...

From 0.9.9 to 1.0.0 rc4 - sound problem

Hello, I've been using VLC for the last 4 years or so. I recently built a new PC (i7 920, 6GB ram, Sound Blaster X-FI, WinXp 32 bit) and I installed vlc 1.0.0 rc1. When I open a .avi, .mov or .mpeg file, the video plays ok, but I have problems with the audio: every 4-5 seconds, there a small silence...
