I guess the version on the store.

so no it's not necessary at all, and it has already been moved, but not yet released.
you can try a nightly build if you want to try it.

Re: Problem using LibVLC

second parameter of attachSurface must be the java instance which implements setSurfaceSize.
is "NativeUtility.getMainActivity()" the same instance as "this" ? if not, try with "this" instead.

Re: Re-size surface problem

if you want to display in a 400x400 frame but keep the original aspect ratio, forcing dw/dh variable to 400 at the beginning should work. if you don't care about aspect ratio, you can just force dimensions in the two LayoutParams near the end. in all cases, you must keep this line untouched : mSurfa...

Re: Why use a individual ArrayList<Media> mItemList?

At startup, vlc browse folders recursively to find new files to add to the database, or remove deleted ones. This scan can take some times depending on how many folders/files you have on the device. One way to speed this up, is to go in preferences, and only select music & video folders, to avoi...

you can boost the volume a little with the equalizer, even if it's not optimal.

But i agree proper volume boost would be better.

Re: Help us test VLC for Android and report bugs

Very glitchy on Sony Xperia Z1 with GoPro 1080p videos. What's the best version for my phone ? I think the "issue" is that the video is in J420 (I420 with full range). With RV32/RV16, the optimized neon chroma converter doesn't handle J420, only I420. so vlc fallback to swscale instead, w...

i think the core is asking for a new size at some point, but current android video output doesn't handle it (VOUT_DISPLAY_CHANGE_DISPLAY_SIZE), so it fallback to upscale.

Re: Custom VLC app on android - no video

If you have "yuv_rgb_neon: can't get video picture", it means one thing : the surface buffer doesn't have the correct size. At each frame, the vout checks that the surface buffer and the frame have the same size. If not, it calls setSurfaceSize(...) to request a resize of the surface buffe...

Re: Green border video buffer corruption?

Known issue, this green line bug appeared when avcodec_align_dimensions2 was introduced in avcodec/video.c, it happens with directx/direct3d/opengl vouts on windows, and also on android.
Didn't had the time yet to test more.
