i also have thsi problem, with any file that is. when i start up vlc, it defaults the sound to 400% which is insanely too loud

im having the exact same problems with this version. I run a macbook pro early 08 edition with snow leopard. when i try to just simply quit the app, it will hang, the only way to close it is to force quit. also when changing video files it will also hang. for the time being ive been turning to movis...

When I have Transmission running and downloading torrents, VLC will have a lot of lags and spikes during a movie. As soon as I turn off Transmission (torrent dling program) the lags and mini movie spikes stop.

Does anyone else have this problem?
