x264 codec prefs panel broken (since 1.0.5) - vlc won't read or write these prefs, clicking save crashes the app. So encodes are stuck using default values...

The various deinterlacers are slick and work really well...

BUT, there is no AV sync on playback. It's all over the place. Surely someone has noticed this??? I'm thinking a precise delay could easily be compensated for with each of the deinterlacers...

VLC 1.0rc4 resolved the crash!

You just need to open it while the movie is playing. If it is open before a movie is played, it will stay empty.

leaving the media information panel open causes application crashes when opening new files....
