Having the same problems, VLC finds all chromecast devices. Makes connection, shows the titles, says cast is playing but no sound nor audio. And VLC looks like it is in pauze mode. W10 64bits VLC 3.0.4

I got a portable with 5.1 speakers integrated. Playing back with powerdvd the sound is full and crisp. Playing back with VLC it sounds hollow and Lame. Has anyone got an idea??? Already changed to wave output but doesn't change a thing.
