Just wanted to say that I too have the same issues and none of the solutions suggest above have helped.

Just wanted to say the problem is still very much present in 1.1.11 and the latest nightly. Is there any hope in sight for a fix or perhaps an tips to avoid this?

The problem is still very much alive in the 1.1.5 nightly also. I'm still waiting and hoping but i keep switching back to older versions to evade the problem.

I just wanted to quickly touch base and say that the problem still occurs with 1.1.3 , no change at all. I will update my ticket as well.

I am experiencing this same exact issue. I can't figure out the exact set of circumstances with which this can be reproduced, but the OP's description is correct. To me, it seems like VLC suddenly starts "ignoring" all double click requests for a while... and then it'll suddenly acknowled...

Just thought I would quickly post that the problem is still occurring. I tested it with v1.1.2 and the nightlies. No luck and it still happens.

Please file a bug on this, and try VLC 1.2

I just wanted to let you know that I installed the latest version of 1.2 and still have the issue. I will fill out a bug report as soon as this post is completed.
