Friends: I am not sure if this is the right forum for this posting. But here goes anyways... I am looking for a software to convert .avi or .mpg files to .udf so it can be played in a regular DVD player. Thanks for any help.

Do anyone else have any input for my problem? This VLC_help person never seems to know anything.

Friends: I am trying to stream an .MKV movie file which was downloaded in a format *.mp4. I tried all the suggestions found on the web, but just cannot stream the movie. I am using VLC media player 1.1.11. Any suggestions how I can successfully do this? Thank you. Windows XP Pro.

Friends: I have lots of .AVI clips. Before I could have double clicked each one and it would play automatically by VLC media player. This does not happen any more. When I click the file it doesn't do anything. I have to manually tell it which media player to play. I reloaded VLC 1.1.11. Same result....

Arite: Thanks for the quick response. I did as you suggested and deleted the VLC folder. It seems to be working okay now. I could not get any response from keyboard or mouse commands until the video finished playing. Thanks again.

Friends: Quite often now whenever I am playing content with VLC media player my toolbar goes missing and the video takes over the full screen. Pressing ESC does nothing and I cannot do anything else beside allowing the video content to complete. I uninstalled the newest version and installed version...

I have a website which has several (legit) songs. Each song can only be played if you clicked on each one individually. How can I set up a playlist to play the songs one after the other automatically just from the URL for each song? Thanks for any help.

No, it's not enabled. I re-installed VLC media player and the same result. Running out of ideas on this...

The screen resolution is 800x600 pixels and the colour depth is 32 bit. The icons were displaying fine with these same parameters.

Friends: I have noticed all my VLC icons in Windows Explorer have turned into black squares. The script is still visible below each icon. The icon still plays the media when double clicked, but I still want the original icons back. Any ideas how to fix this? Windows XP Pro. Thanks for any help.
