OK, I'm back. I can watch TV just fine with vlc, and can record what I'm watching with a push of a button. However, I still would like to schedule recordings with vlc. I looked at VLM, and there are so many options it makes my head spin. I have looked at the documentation and it does not really help...

i'm going to have to wait on this. rc1 completely trashed my computer. i went back to .99

i'll check it out again after final release.

Timeshifting in RC1

I am using vlc rc1 in ubuntu 9.04, and would like to know how to record tv shows on a scheduled basis. I can record tv on the channel it is currently on, but would like to schedule recordings. The release notes say this is possible. Thanks.
