Re: Video Snapshot file prefix not working in 2.1.1

2.2.0 (stable) hasn't been released yet, so from an user point of view it is not fixed. And why couldn't the fix been implemented in the recently released 2.1.5?
Because devs have plenty on their plate to deal with on every release LOL

Re: Video Snapshot file prefix not working in 2.1.1

The bug report does say 2.2.0...
That's what I suspected, but did not have time to check. Thanks.

Config is

Code: Select all

vlcsnap-$N-$T-
Not being converted into correct string.

Re: Video Snapshot file prefix not working in 2.1.1

Did you file a bugreport?
There is a bug report for this:
https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/9938

Can it be elevated? This is the most useful feature of VLC, and one I need weekly.

Append video filename to screen capture filename

Hello

VLC accepts stftime() functions such as %y-%m-%d for the screenshot filename.

However, I would like to append the name of the video played to the created screenshot, as in:

vlcsnap-%y-%m-%d-%h-%m-OriginalFilename

Re: VLC 1.1 CRASHES ON JUST ABOUT ANYTHING

Actually, this was not solved at all. VLC is back to showing a very large screen before and after a file is played. And it crashes when resuming from hibernate.

Re: [Solved?] VLC 1.1 CRASHES ON JUST ABOUT ANYTHING

After I have deleted the config folder, I do not see it crashing when turning off a monitor. It did crash on playing some files, so I will continue to test that.

Re: VLC 1.1 CRASHES ON JUST ABOUT ANYTHING

Yes, that solved the large size problem. I'll try to produce a debug output as well.

Re: VLC 1.1 CRASHES ON JUST ABOUT ANYTHING

Also, why does it start in an INSANELY LARGE window, only later to switch to the proper video size corresponding to the video playing??? I'm about to DOWNGRADE. Previous version had none of this insanity.

Re: VLC 1.1 CRASHES ON JUST ABOUT ANYTHING

Hello

New to the forum, researching that. Can you please provide a link to a "how to". That would be useful as a sticky somewhere.

VLC 1.1 CRASHES ON JUST ABOUT ANYTHING

Guess I know why it was called "The Luggage". That luggage is showing up. THIS VERSION IS THE WORST VERSION EVER, ALMOST AS BAD AS THE ONE THAT CRASHED ON SCREENSHOTS. How long will it take to fix this? Crashes every time if a second monitor is disabled from Display Manager (Win XP) Random...
