Re: Annoying Windows 7 Taskbar

I believe this is related to the bug I have seen on my Windows 7 as well. I usually have the Volume Mixer open so that I can adjust the volume when necessary. Frequently I ran into the situation that all of a sudden that the Volume Mixer window turn black (just a windows with black background, like ...

Re: Can not play .xspf created by 0.9.9 or earlier

Could you please give the detailed changes so that I modify my old playlist to get it going? It's very easy for me to use vim (on Windows) to make changes if I know what to modify. Thanks.

Can not play .xspf created by 0.9.9 or earlier

The version branch-20090630-0004 vlc player cannot play the .xspf playlist saved by 0.9.9 or earlier (on both WIndows XP w/ SP3 and Vista w/ SP2.) When double click on the .xspf file, vlc starts to interpret the .xspf file. But instead of playing the video, it seems to have trouble finding the video...

Re: Unicode filename/playlist broken since branch-20090624-0945

Does this affect playback, or only the presentation in the playlist ?
No, it does not affect playback. But it affects the presentation and the flash of the title at beginning of each video. Thanks.

Unicode filename/playlist broken since branch-20090624-0945

Hi, Tonight, I download the latest daily built, branch-20090626-0004, and immediately after the installing it, I found the following problem: 1) fire up vlc with playlist window open. 2) drag a file, say named 蘇州夜曲.mp4, into the playlist window. Instead of displaying the proper filename in the entry...

also in 1.0.0-rc2
It's still there as of vlc-1.0.0-rc3-20090616-0003-win32.exe. If you check the Information->Codec Details, it reports the video's frame rate is either 59.999 or 60 fps. Hope this helps.

Re: .xspf playlist bug in 0.9.9

Never mind. I found the problem (by studying the log) -- apparently I select the font as a subtitle file by accident on two of the machines. Sorry for the false alarm. Have a good day and a wonderful weekend. --SSS

Re: .xspf playlist bug in 0.9.9

Hmm... the new nightly built has introduced a new bug. I took your advice and copy the font I want and point subtitle to use it. It works for couple days until I downloaded new nightly built and installed it this morning. Now whenever I play the playlist, a window pops up with the following error: V...

Re: .xspf playlist bug in 0.9.9

I found it -- "Ariel Unicode" font works! Thank you very much for your help. One more wish -- if there is a way to give a list of available fonts (like in Firefox or IE) for user to choose, that will be great. Not all users are hardy enough to even know where to look for font files. :)
